Government backs Hargreaves Review

The Government has backed the findings of the Hargreaves Review into the UK’s Intellectual Property framework.
All ten of Professor Hargreaves’ recommendations have been accepted, which includes provisions for enhanced digital copyright protection.
Business Secretary Vince Cable claimed the sweeping reforms could add up to £7.9bn to the UK economy.
“The Government is focused on boosting growth and the Hargreaves review highlighted the potential to grow the UK economy,” said Cable.
